Dr. Stefanie Young knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at just five years old, and she has been dedicated to caring for animals ever since. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2010, followed by a Small Animal Emergency Internship at Pet Emergency and Specialty Center in San Diego. Dr. Young joined West Coast Animal Hospital in 2019 and opened the PB office in 2025. She has continued serving the San Diego community ever since, with special interests in surgery and emergency medicine.
Dr. Young is happily married and shares her home with two cats, Mischief and Latte. Outside the hospital, she enjoys pilates, traveling, cooking, and making the most of San Diego’s outdoor lifestyle. She looks forward to providing exceptional care for your furry family members.
