Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Shehnav Sekhon is a compassionate, approachable veterinarian who believes great medicine starts with trust, communication, and strong relationships. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2021 and has practiced in San Diego providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care in both general practice and urgent care settings. Before veterinary medicine, Dr. Sekhon served in the Nevada Air Force National Guard as an avionics technician for the C-130, an experience that shaped his calm, detail-oriented approach and deep respect for teamwork.

Dr. Sekhon moved to San Diego drawn by the opportunity to live near the ocean, learn how to surf, and build a life rooted in balance and outdoor adventure. Outside of the hospital, he is happily married and shares his home with a lively crew that includes his dog Puff, cats Paul and Pan, and Pascal the tarantula. A self-described hobby collector, he enjoys snowboarding, gardening, sailing, free diving, surfing, woodworking, leather working, biking, and traveling. Above all, Dr. Sekhon is passionate about helping pets live healthy, comfortable lives while making sure their people feel heard, supported, and confident every step of the way.
